Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Kerslake is depicted on the Tithe Map 919 on the Okehampton Apportionment: 'House, Offices and yard'. Farm consists of a range of buildings surrounding a courtyard, with a detached farmhouse to the north. Building on the western side of the range has a horse engine house attached to it.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

The late 19th century historic map shows the farmstead has changed little since the Tithe Map depiction.

Royal Air Force, 1946 - 1949, Royal Air Force Aerial Photographs (Aerial Photograph). SDV342938.

The 1940s aerial photograph shows the farmstead to have continued unchanged from the late 19th century historic map depiction.

GetMapping, 1999 - 2000, Dartmoor 1999-2000 1:1250 Aerial Photography (digital) (Aerial Photograph). SDV345751.

This view shows that a large percentage of the south-eastern range is now gone. The buildings that formed the north and eastern sides now stand in ruins. Other changes have also taken place; structure depicted as a horse engine house on the Tithe map is now gone, while new structures have been added to the north of the farm, to the east of the farmhouse.

White, P., 2013, Previously Unsurveyed Dartmoor Historic Farmsteads (Un-published). SDV352501.

Included on list. No further information provided.

Ordnance Survey, 2014, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV355681.

One the modern map, those buildings that remain of the original south-eastern range are part of Kerslake Court; eastern end rebuilt but the range is now open on the northern side. Kerslake Farmhouse still stands and has been divided into two properties.
