Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
Paper Tithe Map depiction of this farmstead is quite damaged so only part of the farm can be seen. One narrow rectangular building can be seen aligned north-south, with a dwelling attached on the south-eastern side, although this can only be partly seen. The name is also obscured but appears to be 'Pothe??ger'. 869 on the Okehampton Apportionment; 'House, field and yard'.

Moorgate Farm. The late 19th century historic map shows the two structures as seen on the Tithe Map, with additional attached smaller structures on the south and east sides. An L-shaped range of buildings is also shown to the east of this which appears to be a new addition.

The early 20th century map shows the L-shaped range has been altered; the south-eastern wing has gone, replaced with a northern wing. Another extension has been made to the original range of buildings, on the northern end.
