Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A possible former quarry of unknown date and function was visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s and images derived from lidar data captured in 2010 as an elongated circular pit abutting the course of the road to the south-east of Dungeons Farm. The pit appears to be relatively shallow, up to approximately 25 metres wide and almost 50 in length along its longest axis. The earthwork pit does not correspond with any feature depicted on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25 inch map and therefore probably passed out of use some time prior to the 1880s.
