A previously unrecorded enclosure of probable prehistoric to Romano-British date is visible as a cropmark ditch on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2010, to the north of Colebrook Court. The enclosure is rectilinear in shape, with two well defined, angular corners with linear sides to the northeast and southwest. The remaining corners to the southeast and northwest are obscured by an area of darker crop growth probably caused by geological variation. The enclosure, which measures approximately 40m in length by 34m in width, is sited on gentle east facing slope and is located in proximity to a probable prehistoric ring ditch recorded approximately 220m to the east. Further survey work, such as geophysical survey, is recommended to help clarify the nature of the enclosure and to identify the presence/absence of any other associated internal and external features. The enclosure was not clearly visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey.
