Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Week Farm. The site of the orchard is first listed on the Cullompton parish tithe apportionment of approximately 1838-48, although appears to have passed out of use by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. Aerial photographs of 1947 show that the orchard trees have been largely grubbed out, leaving a series of parallel and broadly northwest to southeast aligned earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established, visible. The surviving earthwork banks occupy an area of approximately 0.18 hectares of fairly level ground within a small rectilinear shaped plot depicted on historical mapping, on the southeastern side of the River Ken. The orchard banks remain visible as a series of faintly defined earthwork banks on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2002, although were not clearly visible after this date.
