Earthworks of an irregularly shaped pit were visible on a north facing combe slope to the south of Owlacombe Farm. The date and function of the pit are unknown but it is possible that the pit is the remains of a former quarry. Vegetation cover and lighting conditions mean the earthworks were not visible on more recent aerial photographs or digital images derived from lidar and field investigation is recommended to ascertain the survival and condition of the pit.
