Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
'Stone' is depicted on the late 19th century historic map.
D'Oyly, J., 2014, County stone north of Huckworthy Bridge (Worksheet). SDV357177.
County or 'C' stone is retained in flower bed in garden of Parlby Arms Cottage at SX531706. 'C' is inscribed on the face of part of a stone mullion window which is itself of some antiquity. Stone was found when taking down a barn wall prior to rebuilding in 1995.
Dimensions: hieght 0.84 metres, width 0.20 metres and depth 0.10 metres.
