Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The Tithe map shows the new fish pond and also the old course of the river at this site, which includes quite a sinuous curve at the southern end of the pond.

Late 19th century historic map shows the fish pond with no sign of the old course of the river remaining.

River once curved around significantly in the region of the weir and modern pump house. Appears to have been diverted at the point of the footbridge which lies 86 metres south of the modern pump house.
