Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A possible former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as an earthwork ditch and banked feature on digital images derived from Lidar data captured between 2005 and 2010, to the southwest of Middle Curham. The northeast to southwest aligned linear earthworks closely respect the historic field patterns and may form part of a relict medieval field boundary which appears to have passed out of use by the time of the parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. The earthworks of the former field boundary were not clearly visible on aerial photographs before this date.
