Evidence of a possible catch meadow of probable 19th to 20th century date is visible on aerial photographs to the north of Babylon Lane. Dark marks caused by water flowing across the combe slopes can be seen on aerial photogaphs of April 1967. This might support the interpretation that a watercourse, depicted on the current OS base map which appears to abstract water from the Heal-eye Stream, was in use as a catch meadow. The water carrying ditches, known as gutters, cannot be seen as earthworks on the aerial photographs available to the survey and have therefore not been transcribed.
