Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A curvilinear earthwork ditch, up to 12 metres in width, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2010. No field boundaries are depicted in this exact location on the available historic mapping, but the ditch is similar in morphology to other earthworks in the area that correspond to field boundaries depicted on the historic mapping. The shape of the earthwork is in keeping with the medieval character of fields in this area, and is tentatively interpreted as the relict remains of a removed field boundary, of probable medieval date, which appears to have passed out of use prior to the mid-19th century. It is not visible on the available aerial photographs, and earthworks are likely to be slight.
