Field 647 on the 1839 Newton Ferrers tithe map is recorded as 'Quarry Park and Waste' on the accompanying tithe apportionment. Around both the eastern and western extents of this field, separate areas are illustrated as woodland which may represent areas of former quarrying. They are similarly illustrated on both the both the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s and the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between 1904-06.

Field 647 on the 1839 Newton Ferrers tithe map is recorded as 'Quarry Park and Waste' on the accompanying tithe apportionment. Around both the eastern and western extents of this field, separate areas are illustrated as woodland which may represent areas of former quarrying.
