Possible mortar or grinding stone with smoothish circular recess about 15 centimetres diameter and 3 centimetres deep. Stone appears to be roughly 0.45 metres in length.
Author thought the stone had been used as a crushing medium like a pestle, based on research made in the belief that there was a smelter near the tin slag heap within 100 metres of the stone.
Later informed by the owner that he had moved the slag to this location. The slag was probably taken from a location 400 metres South of Drakeford Bridge. There are, however, several quarries nearby.
