Pears, B. + de-Villiers, S. + Passmore, A., 2014, The Former Fremington Army Camp, Fremington, Devon: Results of an Archaeological Trench Evaluation and Historic Building Survey, Building 54 (Report - non-specific). SDV357013.

Concrete-rendered building with gabled, corrugated asbestos sheet roof. Metal windows with tiled sills. Nine bays. The building has two extensions on the east side which join it to building 55. There are single wooden doorways in the east elevation and the south and north elevation of the extension. There is a single wooden door in a porch with a sloping corrugated asbestos sheet roof in the centre of the south elevation. Double glass and wood door in the 4th from north bay on the west elevation. Double wood and glass doors in the east elevation of extension with a brick surround and low walls and a projecting flat felt roof.
No internal access; visual inspection through windows. There is a single room at the south-west end, then a large open plan room. There is a room in the north-west corner of the building containing a bar area. There are various rooms off a corridor in the north-east part of the building.
