Full description
Pears, B. + de-Villiers, S. + Passmore, A., 2014, The Former Fremington Army Camp, Fremington, Devon: Results of an Archaeological Trench Evaluation and Historic Building Survey, Building 68 (Report - non-specific). SDV357013.
Clay block building with gabled roof under corrugated asbestos sheeting. UPVC windows. Nine bays. Two single wooden doors in north-west elevation. Double wooden doors in north-east elevation with a corrugated asbestos porch with sloping roof. There is a walkway to the north-east of the building made of wooden posts with a flat corrugated asbestos sheet roof.
No internal access; visual inspection through windows. Consists of a single large room at the south-east end, a lobby area with a reception desk, then a series of moderately large interconnected rooms off this at the north-west end. The roof is supported on metal frames with plasterboard.
