Transcriptions of linear ditches correspond to the grid reference for PRN166945, recorded as “The fragmentary remains of a possible field system are visible as cropmark ditches on aerial photographs (p1) and were digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. The remains consist of 3 parallel ditches up to 120m long. The features lie within an area described as post medieval enclosures with medieval elements in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon”. The photograph reference is DCC DAP ND/14&15 (NMRSX9085/11&12) 30-Jun-89.

Linear dark cropmarks, two single and one double, are visible on aerial photographs taken between 1989 and 1999. Their maximum width is 3 metres in total. Two of these correspond to field boundaries depicted on the Tithe map, and they are likely to have formed over the infilled ditches of medieval or post-medieval field boundaries, one of which had fallen out of use by the mid-19th century.
This feature had been transcribed during the North Devon/Winkleigh Biomass NMP project, corresponding to the grid reference for PRN166945, and so has not been re-transcribed for the EMDRC project.
