Earthwork banks representing possible 19th-20th century plantation banks are visible on aerial photographs of 1946, within Manor Plantation. The earthwork banks are north to south aligned and occupy an area of approximately 2.91 hectares of west facing slope. Manor Plantation is first depicted here on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey map of between 1904-06, and it seems possible the earthworks represent banks onto which these trees were established, providing both increased soil depth and improved drainage. The site of the earthworks is obscured by dense tree cover on aerial photographs of 1963 onwards and their survival is unclear.
