Earthwork banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the northeast of Beautiport Farm. The earthwork banks, which may represent the remains of 18th-19th century cultivation, are northwest to southeast aligned and occupy an area of approximately 4.33 hectares of gentle west facing slope. The earthworks are located within an area labelled as ‘The Park’ on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s, although it is likely that the earthworks pre-date any establishment of parkland here. The earthwork banks remain visible as a series of earthworks on Lidar-derived images of 2005.
