Cropmarks which have formed over infilled ditches of possible former medieval field boundaries are visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2010, to the northeast of Higher Southwood Farm. The fairly diffuse cropmarks are northwest to southeast aligned and appear to resemble former field boundaries which closely respect the historic field patterns, although the boundaries appear to have passed out of use by the time of the Rockbeare Parish Tithe Map of approximately 1838-48. The cropmarks were not visible on other aerial photographs made available to the survey.
