Correspondence from Darren Limbert discussing a possible ring-ditch on the eastern side of Broadclyst. The site is appoximately 10m in diameter.

Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A possible ring ditch of later prehistoric to Roman date was visible on aerial photographs of 1989 as a cropmark on the gentle east-facing slopes east of Broadclyst. The cropmark of the possible ring ditch is up to 4 metres wide and encloses a roughly circular area almost 8 metres in diameter. These proportions are not typical of either Bronze Age round barrows or Iron Age round houses and it must be considered possible that the ring ditch is of non-archaeological origin.
