Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
Three field boundaries are depicted in this location.

Six broad parallel earthwork ditches are visible.

Six parallel slightly curvilinear earthwork ditches, up to 15 metres in width and circa 15 metres apart, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Three correspond to former field boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map but removed by the 1940s, and they are interpreted as the remains of a medieval strip field system. Three survived as functioning boundaries into the mid-19th century.
