A possible former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as an earthwork ditch on Lidar-derived images of between 1998-2007, at Pynes Hill Business Park. The northeast to southwest aligned relict boundary generally respects the historic field patterns depicted on the Heavitree parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48, although appears to have passed out of use by this time. The earthwork ditch was not, however, clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.
