Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the west of Wroford Manor. Orchards are depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. Aerial photographs of 1946 show that the site of the orchards remain largely covered with trees, although by 1963 these have been partly cleared, exposing a series of earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established. Digital images of 2010 show the fruit trees have been completely cleared, although a number of earthwork banks remain visible. The earthworks are northwest to southeast and northeast to southwest aligned and occupy a number of adjacent plots depicted on the First Edition OS map
