Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A broad bank, up to 9 metres across, is visible as a pale cropmark on aerial photographs taken in 1999-2000, and as an earthwork on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It is similar to two earthworks to the north-west that are tentatively identified as field boundaries of potential medieval date (e.g. MDV105695), and this could also be a relict field boundary that pre-dates the establishment of Nutwell Park. However, its straight alignment suggests a relatively modern date; it could perhaps be contemporary with the parkland. It is not depicted on the available historic maps and as it is not visible on the earlier aerial photographs a modern origin cannot be ruled out.
