Richard Sims, 2015-2016, Marshwood Vale National Mapping Programme (NMP) project (Interpretation). SDV359291.

Earthwork banks of possible former medieval or post-medieval field boundaries are visible on aerial photograph of 1963 onwards, to the northwest of The Old Diary House. The four parallel and fairly short earthworks, up to 70m in length, are northwest to southeast aligned and closely respect the field patterns depicted on the Uplyme Parish Tithe Map of approximately 1838-48, although appear to have passed out of use by this time. The western of the two earthworks are visible on aerial photographs up until 2000, although digital images of 2010 show that these are obscured by tree cover and their survival, as with those to the east, is uncertain.
