A sand pit and gravel pit are located in close proximity to the east.

The possible former gravel or sand pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

A possible gravel or sand pit of post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, within woodland at Roughmoor. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 64m in length by 51m in width and is located in close proximity to a sand pit and gravel pit depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey map of between 1904-06. The earthwork is visible on aerial photographs up until 1976, although is largely obscured by tree cover after this date, although is likely to survive as an earthwork.
