Low earthwork banks were visible.

Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

Former field boundaries of probable post-medieval date were visible as low earthwork banks defining a roughly square field patter on digital images derived from lidar data, on the gentle east-facing combe slopes immediately to the east of Ratsloe.
The earthworks correspond in part to field boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map for Ratsloe; those not depicted were probably evidence for field boundaries removed prior to the 1840s.
The former earthworks probably defined part of the parish boundary between Huxham and Poltimore parishes. All the field boundaries had been removed by the later 19th century but the parish limit continued to follow the same course.
