A circular mound and surrounding ditch, bisected by two field boundaries, is visible as an earthwork.

Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

The barrow is visible as a clear earthwork, circa 42 metres in diameter, on images derived from lidar data captured in 2010. It appears to comprise a circular mound approximately 34 metres across with a surrounding ditch approximately 2 metres in width, typical of a Bronze Age bowl barrow. It has been cut by two field boundaries which converge on the barrow, dividing it into three, the mound perhaps used as a landscape feature during the laying out of enclosure boundaries in the 19th century. It is not visible on the available aerial photographs due to tree cover, and there are few available sorties of this area from the mid-20th century before the woodland matured. A partial mound of semi-circular shape approximately 130 metres to the east may be the other barrow referred to by Polwhele.
