An extraction pit of likely post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the southeast of Peterhayes Farm. The sub-circular shaped earthwork measures approximately 39m in length by 35m in width and is situated at the end of a trackway which leads from the farm. The earthwork is visible on Lidar-derived images captured between 1998-2014.
