Landscaped gardens of likely 19th century date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Little Manor, Upottery, with which the gardens are likely associated. The terraced gardens are partly depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, but not on the Parish Tithe Map. The earthworks have been cut into gentle southwest facing slope and are visible as a reversed ‘S’ shaped cutting to the east, with two levelled garden areas to the west. The northern garden area is rectangular in shape, measures approximately 38m in length by 33m in width and is divided by a slight earthwork bank. This garden area drops down to a lower terraced area to the south, which is more irregular in shape and measures approxiamtely 55m in length by 40m in width. The landscape gardens remain clearly visible on digital images derived from lidar date.
