Earthwork banks and ditches of probable post-medieval to 19th century date are visible on aerial photographs of 1971 onwards, to the west of Yarcombe. The earthwork banks are northwest to southeast and northeast to southwest aligned and occupy an area of approximately 0.27 hectares of moderate east facing slope. They may represent the remains of agricultural improvement or represent the site of a former orchard, the banks providing improved drainage and increased soil depth for the fruit trees. Two earthwork ditches flanking these banks likely represent associated field boundary ditches. The earthworks are visible on aerial photographs of 2000.
