Full description
Environment Agency, 1998-2014, LiDAR DSM data (1m resolution), LIDAR ST1501 Environment Agency DSM 01-JAN-1998 to 30-SEP-2014 (Cartographic). SDV359178.
A small earthwork pit was visible.

A small pit, possibly a former extraction pit, was visible on images derived from lidar data as a roughly circular earthwork approximately 16 metres in diameter, on the south facing slopes above Rectory Wood, Combe Raleigh. The date of the pit is unknown, but former marl and gravel pits of post-medieval to 19th century date are common in this area and a similar date range for this feature is probable.
