A possible earthwork banked feature of potential prehistoric date is visible on aerial photographs of 1948, to the southwest of Burrow’s Farm. The possible earthwork appears to be U-shaped in plan, measures approximately 41m in length by 39m in width and is sited on relatively level land. The nature of the feature is, however, largely uncertain and if earthworks are indeed present here on aerial photographs of 1948, then they are very slight and appear to have since been levelled. The possible earthwork is located in close proximity to other earthworks, including two barrows (MDV1841 & MDV1843) recorded 470m to the southeast, possible earthworks of an additional barrow to the immediate northwest (MDV115096) and also 380m to the northeast, which all give some weight to this feature being archaeological in origin. Further field investigation, such as geophysical survey may help to shed some light on this feature.
