Full description
Environment Agency, 1998-2014, LiDAR DSM data (1m resolution), LIDAR ST1703 Environment Agency DSM 01-JAN-1998 to 30-SEP-2014 (Cartographic). SDV359178.
A possible mound was visible as an earthwork.

A possible mound was visible on digital images derived from lidar data as an earthwork on the south facing slopes below Dumpdon Hillfort. Roughly oval in shape and up to 33 metres in diameter, the mound is possibly part of the natural landform of the hill. Alternatively, the earthwork might be evidence of a ceremonial or burial barrow mound of later prehistoric date. The mound remains apparent as an earthwork when the lidar imagery is visualised as a Simple Local Relief model. Further investigation is recommended.
