Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to 19th century date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1948 onwards, at Lemon’s Hill Farm. Orchards are depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s, although by 1948, aerial photographs show that the orchard trees have been largely grubbed up, leaving a series of parallel northeast to southwest aligned earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established, visible. These banks occupy two adjacent plots with a combined area of approximately 0.68 hectares of moderate northeast facing slope. Traces of orchard banks within the north-western plot remain faintly visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2014, although those to the southeast appear to have been levelled.
