A possible former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as an earthwork banked feature on aerial photographs of 1948 onwards, to the south of Valentine’s Farm. The slightly sinuous earthwork is northwest to southeast aligned and is partly flanked on its eastern side by a shorter bank at its northern extent. The field boundary is possibly associated with a trackway at this point which is depicted here on the Parish Tithe Map. The field boundary also terminates at a perpendicular field boundary at its southern extent. The field boundary recorded as part of this survey appears, however, to have passed out of use by this time. Earthwork banks are visible here on digital images captured in 2002.
