An extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the east of Musgrove Farm, Dunkeswell. The oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 43m in length by 36m in width and is located in an area where numerous similar such features have been recorded as part of this survey. The earthwork remains visible on digital images captured in 2002.
