Parallel linear banks, up to 4 metres in width, are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. They are broadly cross-contour in orientation and indicative of tree planting banks that were common in orchards of post-medieval or 19th century date. Trees are depicted this area on the Tithe map and it is symbolised as orchard on the late-19th century OS map, supporting this interpretation. Orchard trees appear to still be present, obscuring the ground surface.
