Summary
An extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1982 and digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the north of Underground Farm. It is located in an area where numerous similar such features have been recorded during this survey and from a walkover survey carried out in 2016 (MDV114110) associated with the A30/A303 improvement works between Honiton and Devonshire Inn.

An extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1982 and digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the north of Underground Farm. The earthwork is sub-oval in shape and measures approximately 24m in length by 19m in width. It is located in an area where numerous similar such features have been recorded during this survey and from a walkover survey carried out in 2016 (MDV114110) associated with the A30/A303 improvement works between Honiton and Devonshire Inn.
