Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

Former field boundaries were visible as curvilinear earthwork banks and ditches on the west-facing slopes of the Otter Valley, approximately 100 metres east of Hayne Farm, Upottery parish, on aerial photographs and digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016.
The visible earthworks do not correspond with any boundaries depicted in this location on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25 inch map. It does fall within a field pattern characterised as probably medieval in origin. This might support the interpretation that the earthwork bank is the remains of a field boundary of medieval date that had been removed prior to the 1840s.
