Plot boundaries of likely post-medieval date are visible as earthwork banks and a ditch on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northwest of Bucehayes Cottage. The linear northwest to southeast aligned earthworks appear to represent sub-divisions of three small adjacent land parcels depicted here on the Parish Tithe map of approximately 1838-48, although these boundaries had evidently passed out of use by this time. These small land parcels may be associated with ‘Bonds house’ (MDV48618) depicted to the immediate north on this map, perhaps defining areas of orchards and/or gardens, for example. The earthworks are not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.
