An earthwork bank of a possible former field boundary of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible on aerial photographs of 1982 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the south of Preston Farm. The short section of northwest to southeast aligned bank generally respects the historic field patterns depicted here on the Parish Tithe map of approximately 1838-48 and may have defined the southwest edge of a small land parcel comparable to that to the northwest. The possible field boundary appears, however to have passed out of use by this time. Shallow undulations visible on lidar images either side of this field boundary were interpreted as being of natural origin.
