Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

Two former field boundaries were visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s onwards as earthwork banks on the west bank of the River Otter, north-west of Rawridge, Upottery parish.
The earthworks are short and straight, abutting the still extant post medieval boundaries to the north-west. The northernmost earthwork corresponds with a boundary shown on the Tithe Map for Upottery, but the southernmost is not shown. Neither are depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25 inch map. This might support the interpretation that the earthworks are evidence of field boundaries of probable post-medieval date that were removed probably over the course of the 19th century.
Part of the northernmost earthwork remains visible on digital images derived from lidar data of 2016.
