Summary
A probable relict field boundary of likely medieval origin is visible as a curvilinear earthwork bank on aerial photographs taken from 1982 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It probably went out of use by the mid-19th century.

A curvilinear earthwork bank, circa 2.5 metres in width, is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1982 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It manifests in the same way as an earthwork parallel and circa 15 metres to the west that corresponds to a field boundary depicted on the historic mapping. At its southern end it terminates at a kink in the field boundary depicted on the 19th century mapping. This area has been characterised as of medieval origin and based on strip fields, and it is interpreted as the relict remains of a medieval field boundary bank which went out of use by the mid-19th century.
