Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 3 metres in width, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2000 and indistinctly on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Their cross-contour orientation is indicative of tree planting banks of post-medieval or 19th century date, and the area is depicted with trees on the Tithe map suggesting that it was in use as an orchard at this time; it was still mapped as orchard in the early-20th century and trees are visible in this plot on the modern aerial photographs.
