A row of six roughly circular pale cropmarks was visible on aerial photographs of 1982, spaced between 18 and 40 metres apart over distance of approximately 200 metres along Hartridge, south-east of Hillend Farm, Luppitt parish.
The cropmarks are interpreted as evidence of levelled earthwork mounds, measuring between 5 and 10 metres in diameter. They are further tentatively interpreted as the remains of round barrows of Bronze Age date. Further investigation, such as geophysical survey, is recommended.
