A possible extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northeast of Minsons Hill Farm. The irregular shaped earthwork measures approximately 62m in length by 40m in width. The site of the extraction pit is occupied by a copse depicted on the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48, the trees likely being established within the earthwork following its abandonment.
