An earthwork pit or hollow approximately 8 metres by 5 metres in size was visible on aerial photographs of the 1980s and 2010 adjacent to a farm track on the east-facing slopes west of Stoneacre Farm, Luppitt parish. The earthwork does not correspond with any features depicted on the Tithe Map for Luppitt or the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25inch map, and therefore relates to a feature removed prior to the mid-19th century. It is tentatively interpreted as a building platform, probably the site of an agricultural structure of medieval to post-medieval date such as a barn or linhay.
