Earthwork pits of possible former post-medieval to 19th century extraction pits are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the north of North Hill Farm. The extraction pits comprise two sub-triangular shaped earthworks located to the north of Witch Lane and measuring approximately 10m and 20m in length, and a large irregular shaped earthwork on the south side of the road and measuring approximately 45m in length. The earthworks are located in an area where a number of similar such features have been recorded during this survey. They were not clearly visible on aerial photographs of other digital images made available to the survey owing to tree cover here.
