Earthwork cuttings of uncertain date and function are visible on aerial photographs of 1996 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the east of Lower Pithayne Farm. The two linear and parallel cuttings are northwest to southeast aligned, with a possible slight earthwork bank flanking the southern of the two cuttings. The earthworks are situated on southwest facing slope. It is largely unclear as to what these earthworks represent. More likely they are of modern origin, such as 20th century farm tracks, although they may have potential earlier origins, perhaps the result of 19th century water management or medieval to post-medieval terracing.
